Abstract

Skin and soft tissue infections range from self-resolving pathologies to conditions that compromise the patient's life, depending on multiple risk factors associated with both the patient, the environment, and the infectious agents involved. Emphasis should be placed on making an adequate diagnosis. depending on its variable clinical features, since, added to timely treatment, it can be critical in the prognosis and evolution of patients.
